Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Waverley fell in love with the outdoors through exploring the region’s lush forests, volcanoes, and coastlines. Waverley moved to the Rocky Mountains to attend the University of Colorado Boulder, where she earned bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Studies and Geography. She was introduced to the nonprofit sector through internships at Access Fund and the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, which propelled her interest in conservation and advocacy within the outdoor community. Prior to joining the POW team in 2021, Waverley was the Membership Manager at the American Alpine Club where she worked on membership campaigns and formed partnerships to expand member benefits.

Waverley believes in the collective power of outdoor enthusiasts to make an impact through climate advocacy and protection of public lands. Waverley lives in Southwest Colorado with her partner and their two rescue pups. In her free time, Waverley can be found hiking to alpine lakes, poring over maps, or chasing her powder-loving husky mixes up the skin track.
